The Keystone Central School District Music Department will be holding the 12th annual William P. Kellerman Memorial Scholarship Recital on Sunday, March 3, 2019, 1:30 pm, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lock Haven. There will be a reception with complimentary light refreshments afterward. Participants have included former and current members of the Keystone Central music faculty: Cole Black, Michael Connor, Ashley Crust, Valerie Eberly, Kim Feerrar, Kay Fisher, Heather Haigh, Mel Hesser, Brandon Houtz, Barbara Kellerman, Paul Kellerman, Sherry McGraw, Cindy Middleton, Karen Neff, Melissa Park, Ashley Peters, Teresa Poole, Beth Regan, Martena Rogers, George Sheriff, Patti Sheriff, David Sorgen, Laurie Troyer, and Mallory Ward. Mr. Brian Douty, Mr. Conrad Schlesinger, and Mrs. Shelley Sorgen will be lending their talents to the recital, as well. Performances will include a few selections for mixed choir, a piece or two for piano and organ, a flute duet, and a beautiful work for brass ensemble, among others. There will also be the traditional “fun” piece, for those looking forward to a lighter selection. The concert is held to support a scholarship in memory of William P. Kellerman. Bill was an outstanding student and musician in the Keystone Central School District. After graduating from Bald Eagle-Nittany High School, he touched many lives as a teacher and a performing musician. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kellerman, Jr. The music department is honored to remember Bill by providing students from Central Mountain and Bucktail High Schools with a scholarship to further their educations and help them attain their goals. Anyone wishing to donate may do so by sending contributions to: Keystone Central Foundation, P.O. Box 568, Lock Haven, PA 17745-0568. Checks should be made out to “Keystone Central Foundation.” Please include on the memo line, “William P. Kellerman Scholarship Fund.”
